The wierdest USB device I have personally seen is the teddy bear flash drive.
Normally, this would have been a cute flash drive. To use the flash
drive the teddy bear's head must first be removed then you stick the
flash drive in the USB port. What you get is quite disturbing to our
younger, future computer users. It looks like a poor defenseless teddy
bear has stuck his inside the computer.
Now, how about some products that you never thought you would plug into your computer?
First, we have something practical. Heating pads designed for your knees. The Vavolo Warmmi USB Heating Knee Pads go for about $25. Don't forget to unplug them if you need to step away from your computer.
Another
device to help the human body is a breathing mask that cleanses the air
you breath of allergens and dust. The USB port powers two fans. The USB Mask by Thanko costs about $20US.
Here are two devices for the top of your desk, a tape dispenser and a pen holder.
Each sporting four USB ports. Yes, you heard it right, four USB ports.
The extra USB ports are great for hooking up your digital camera,
portable printer or flash drives to your computer.
Ok, the last two devices might have been too practical for you. Do you like chess? There is the USB Chess Game to capture your attention for hours. This chess board even gives you hints as to what would be your next move.
Except for the teddy bear flash drive the above devices came from a PC Magazine article. I've decided to do some research myself to see if I could find some wierd devices. Here is what I found.
At USBGeek.com I found USB Heating Gloves and a small USB Fridge that keeps one can of soda pop (or your favorite beverage) cold.
For the last strange USB device I have located the USB Hamster Wheel.
That is right, you can now have loads of fun while you type for hours
on end. The faster you type the faster the hamster wheel turns.
I don't know who comes up with these wacky gadgets but it is obvious that some folks have way too much time on their hands.
