The Bible is an Anvil

" The Bible is an anvil that has
worn out a thousand hammers."
  John Piper in a parable

The Bible has been a platform that the USA has built upon. Despite the hatred thrown at what the Bible teaches (especially in the last 100+ years) it is a anvil that will not break. For thousands of years people have tried to destroy the Bible yet, in time, they only end up with broken useless hammers.

During the U.S. Constitutions creation and evolution (as well as the laws and constitutions set up by the each of the states) the 10 Commandments were used as a template. It was written on court room walls. Some of the court houses today still have the 10 Commandments written on them.

Of course the ACLU (which should stand for the Anti-Christian Liberties Union) is bound and determined to have them removed or covered up. Let them cover them up; the humanists and their agendas will not stop or kill out Christianity nor the teaching of the Bible. It is an anvil that will wear out many of their hammers. God's Word, the Bible, lasts forever.

The USA Started as A Christian Nation-Lets Keep It That Way

Despite ignorant statements that the United States was never a Christian nation the evidence points to the fact that the US was started as a Christian nation. You can find this evidence in the writings of our founding fathers.

Take a look at the U.S. Constitution which states that "all men are created equal" and "endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights." This is proof enough that the United States of America was started as a religious nation.

The ACLU and others enjoy their motto of "seperation of church and state" and try to tell us that it is in the constitution. First, the separation of church and state is no where in the US Constitution. Second, it was mentioned by one of our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson in a letter written January 1, 1802.

The fear at this time in history was that man would fear government just like they had once feared the British government. The actually line in Jefferson's letter reads as such,

"I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make not law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state." Obviously, this wall that Jefferson is talking about (to a Baptist association) is to keep government out of the church not the churches out of government. Many of the preachers during the creation of the constitution preached sermons directing their congregations to take action in their government.

Yes, this great nation was founded as a Christian nation. Plus,  a Christian nation with a constitution declaring that the US Government should not tell her citizens how they should think or what they should believe religiously. This is the perfect place for people of other religions to come and believe what they want without any persecution. No other country has had such a constitution such as this in the 1800s.

We need to hold fast and not let the haters of Christianity pull down our freedoms. We started as a Christian nation and we need to keep it that way. For the good of all Americans no matter what their faith or religion or creed is.
